YES:

• Recycling Symbol Numbers 1 – 7: Beverage containers (pop, water, juice), cleaner bottles (Windex, Mr. Clean, dish soap),
• Recycling Symbol Numbers 2 -7: Margarine, yogurt, sour cream, ice cream, etc.

NO:

• Vegetable Oil Containers (unless thoroughly washed), Motor Oil Container

Recycling Instructions:

• Rinse clean of residue, remove lids, and place with plastics and cans

YES:

• Packaging from appliances, packaging pellets, cups, plastic cutlery, meat trays, bakery trays, flower pots

NO:

• Sponge/Rubber-like foam, pink/blue construction foam

Recycling Instructions:

• Must be rinsed clean of residue.  Place all types in a clear plastic bag separate from other waste/recycling.
• DO NOT place with plastics and cans

YES:

• Clear and coloured glass, food and beverage bottles

NO:

• Drinking glasses/ceramic cups, window panes, dinner plates, mirrors, car lights, lightbulbs

Recycling Instructions:

• Rinse of residue and place with plastic and cans

YES:

• Rigid foil containers (pie plates), fast food trays, aluminum foil wrap
• Aerosol cans (paint, hairspray, room fresheners, household cleaners, herbicides, auto, etc.)
• Empty paint cans (may have no more than 1/4″ dried paint on the bottom)
• Food & Drink cans (Pop, soup, vegetable cans, etc.)

NO:

• Foil with paper or plastic lamination, cardboard lids. no butter/candy/cigarette wrap, no peel off lids, no metalized chip bags
• Plastic paint cans

Recycling Instructions:

• Flatten tinfoil products if preferred.  Must be clean – no food residue
• Rinse residue from cans.  Place lids in can and pinch the top of the can together
• Place with plastics and cans

YES:

• Newspaper, flyers, magazines, catalogues, envelopes, computer/printer paper, paper cups, paper plates, tissue paper, greeting cards, novels, & hardcover books, file folders, gift wrap

NO:

• carbon, or construction paper

Recycling Instructions:

Items must be tied together or bagged in a clear plastic bag

YES:

• Grocery bags, flyer bags, outer milk bags, vegetable bags, ziploc baggies

NO:

• cereal/cracker box liners, plastic food wrap, pasta bags, or bubble wrap

Recycling Instructions:

All bags must be clean (no residue or receipts).  Place together in a plastic bag separate from other waste/recycling.  Do not place with plastics and cans.

YES:

• Boxes from cereal, cookies, tissue, detergent, shoes, paper egg cartons, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls

POLYCOAT:

• Milk, juice cartons, tetra boxes, and soup boxes

Recycling Instructions:

• Empty and flatten cardboard and tie in bundles no larger than 24″x 24″x 8″.  Can be placed in a larger box for containment.  Can be put with newspapers, magazines, and junk mail
• Polycoat containers must be rinsed of residue

YES:

• Heavy cardboard boxes, empty pet food bags, farm products, etc

Recycling Instructions:

• Empty and flatten cardboard and tie in bundles no larger than 24″x 24″x 8″.  Can be placed in a larger box for containment.  Can be put with newspapers, magazines, and junk mail

Televisions, answering machines, cordless phones, label makers, professional display services, calculators with printers, digital projectors. rotary/touch tone phones, turntables, desktop computers, home stereo systems, digital photo frames. speaker systems, after market vehicle audio devices, scanners, DVD players, home stereo amps, portable computers, photocopiers, computer monitors, AM/FM radios, computer accessories, desktop multi-function devices, fax machines, printers, VCRs/Video projectors, POS receipt printers, typewriters, modems, home theatre systems, floor standing printers.
