The Roads Department is responsible for maintaining over 185 km of roads including both surface treated and gravel roads. We maintain Township roads, and by agreement with the County of Lennox and Addington, we also maintain County Road 41, County Roads 29 (Flinton Rd.) and 30 (Buckshot Lake Rd).
Typical maintenance performed each year on our roads include winter sanding, salting and snow plowing; grading gravel roads and shoulders; ditching; road side grass mowing; brushing; application of dust suppressants on gravel roads; asphalt patching; line marking; sign and safety devices; and debris and litter pick up.
There are 3 provincial highways in the Township of Addington Highlands: Highway 7, Highway 41 and Highway 28. These roads are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transportation. Maintenance for these roads is done by EMCON and they can be reached at 1-877-979-0998.
