Public Notice – $190,000 OTF Grant from the Ontario Government Gives Community More Places to Play

On Friday July 18, 2025, local MPP Ric Bresee met with the team at the Township of Addington Highlands to hear more about the $190,300 Capital Grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) that was used to enhance playgrounds located within the Township of Addington Highlands. This project will fulfill a community need for play areas and structures which are inclusive to children of all ages and abilities, all while increasing the safety of the equipment.


The OTF Capital Grant was used to install new climbers, ride on toys and kid timbers in both Heritage Park, Denbigh and Tracy Park, Northbrook to enhance the existing playground and install a completely new playground at the Addington Highlands Community Centre – Denbigh

The Township of Addington Highlands is located in the County of Lennox and Addington and is committed to providing essential services to our residents. These include protection, transportation, health/emergency planning and environmental services. In addition, the municipality provides recreation facilities, libraries, economic development, building and land use planning services.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Ontario government with a mission to build healthy and vibrant communities across the province. Last year, OTF invested nearly $105M into 732 community projects and multi-sector partnerships.
