Public Notice – AH Bag Tag System

Effective September 1, 2023

Residents will be required to purchase their own clear garbage bags from a vendor of their choice.

A standard 26” x 36” clear garbage bag or smaller will require 1 bag tag. A larger clear bag will require 2 bag tags.

Clear bags are mandatory for waste.

A Bag Tag will replace the AH Clear Logo Bag and must be affixed to the clear garbage bag for disposal.

AH Clear Logo Bags will continue to be accepted.

The recycling process will remain the same: 1 box of recyclables in exchange for 1 AH Bag Tag.

Kitchen Catcher bags are still permitted inside of the clear garbage bag.

It is the responsibility of the person bringing garbage into the waste site to ensure that waste/recycling are sorted appropriately before going to the waste site.

AH Bag Tags can be purchased in groups of ten (10) at the waste sites or Township Office.

All waste sites continue to have a no cash policy and waste site pass holders will be invoiced for bag tags and/or other disposal fees. Be prepared to show your Waste Site Disposal Pass each time you attend the site(s).

ABSOLUTELY NO OPAQUE BLACK/GREEN OR COLOURED GARBAGE BAGS FOR GARBAGE ACCEPTED
